Kinesis Maxlight KM-220 Ladies MTB Frame 2012

This is a true, purpose designed, female fit XC mountain bike frame. As with our female fit KR-210L, it has been designed from the ground up to work for female riders and is not simply a ‘scaled down’ standard MTB frame.

For 2012, we have used Kinesium tubing for the front triangle and the down tube is re-profiled, giving more fork crown clearance. New, machined dropouts, stiffen and lighten the rear. We have increased the seat tube size to take a 31.6mm post, this makes it easier to fit a 'dropper' type seatpost. Dropper posts are great for smaller or less experienced riders on more challenging terrain.

A smaller, lighter rider does not require the same tubing as the average male racer. The KM-220L uses lighter and smaller dia. chain and seat stays, hourglass shaped for comfort and clearance and a thin wall, large dia. down tube for torsional stiffness.

A shorter top tube is important for comfortable reach from seat to bars, as is a smaller frame height for more stand over clearance, short head tube dimensions minimise stand over and stack height.

The KM-220L supersedes the KM-210L. Both frames are suitable for an 80 to 100mm travel suspension fork.
